At Demado we have a broad range of experience in mechanical design, yielding from various industries such as Aerospace & Defence, high pressure pneumatics and medical equipment. Utilising Creo, Inventor and Fusion 360 we are able to rapidly convert ideas to reality, producing drawings to AS1100.
There are a number of ways in which a manufactured part can be re-engineered when no longer commercially available or the original tooling is obsolete. We can facilite in 3D scanning with mesh to solid conversion, silicon moulding as well as conventional CAD modelling techniques.
Demado can assist customers with proof of concept 3D modeling, manufacture through additive and subtractive techniques and assistance with connecting third-party manufacturing facilities, when aiming to introduce a concept into production.
To enable the designing and 3D printing of soft tooling for machine vices, jigs and fixtures, Demado utilises a range of high temperature nylon based materials, containing chopped carbon fiber. Outsourcing these sometimes minor tasks, ensures minimal downtime in highly productive manufacturing facilities.
At Demado we provide a 3D print / manufacture on demand service, ensuring engineers are able to quickly and effectively meet their targets – vital when working in an agile, time-sensitive environment.
As part of our reverse engineering process we are able to make reproduction parts using silicon moulding; casting in a variety of materials including wax, UV resistant resins and hard foams.
With an aluminium casting capability of 8 Kg, Demado can effectively cater for low volume manufacture. This is made possible through utilising a range of sand or investment casting techniques, including additional heat-treatment when required.
Over the years we have established relationships with a number of CNC machine shops which assist us with our outsourced work. Depending on the requirements, they are able to assist with both milling and turning operations up to 9 axis.
This finishing process is used to remove machining marks and establish a uniform surface finish, as well as restore castings by removing grime and oxidation. At Demado we are able to accomodate components as big as an automotive gearbox, specifically 400mm x 400mm x 500mm.
