FAQ

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked most about our services

3D Printing

If you are sensitive about your IP you can provide us with a *stl file although we would prefer a *stp/*step file incase we need to manipulate the design to ensure critical dimension are maintained.

For FDM printing we have invested in the Markforged series of printers and use the Onyx and Onyx FR base materials which contain chopped Carbon Fiber.

To significantly increase the strength we can then include continuous fiber filament containing Carbon Fiber, Kevlar or Fiber Glass depending on the application.

Through a partnership we can also assist with SLS printing using a high quality medical grade Nylon

Vapour Blasting

Where possible we prefer to pick the parts up and deliver them back to you so we can conduct a full inventory (Adelaide wider CBD). Else you can drop them off or use a courier service although you are responsible for postage and insurance costs. On return we will ensure the items are well packed and of course use the same level of insurance and item tracking.

No is the short answer. The water component of the slurry provides a hydraulic cushioning effect that soften the microbead’s impact on the metal’s surface. We use either Aluminium Oxide or a very fine glass bead.
